New(ish!) Tridents for City Sightseeing Cambridge, SiP ALX400 update, Fotopic inactive?...

New(ish) Open Toppers for Cambridge City Sightseeing
It was reported on various newsgroups, in BUSES magazine and the Anglia & Thames Valley Bus Forum that Stagecoach in Cambridge were due to introduce low floor double deckers to the Cambridge City Sightseeing operation this summer.

For the last few months it had been expected that existing Stagecoach Cambridge Dennis Tridents 17078/9 T768/9KPU would be converted and put on the service.

However, in the last few days it has transpired that 17078/9 have be saved from the decapitation and that three X reg Dennis Tridents will be coming up from Stagecoach London for conversion to open top and will be put to service on the City Sightseeing service this summer ~ the first of these vehicles X283NNO has arrived at Cowley Road depot.

More ALX400's leave Peterborough for Bedford
Two more of the 06 reg Stagecoach Peterborough ALX400's 18411/3 AE06GZH/K have now arrived at Bedford - this means four have now moved with a further two expected in due course.

The fotopic website has be unavailable for a number of days now leading to many worries that the photo hosting website may have ceased trading.

There were simlar worries in 2009 when the website went down for a prolonged period of time, however in that case it came back - lets hope it comes back this time otherwise its going to be a real blow to a lot transport enthusiasts (many who have paid for premium subscriptions) who have invested a lot of time and effort putting their work on display on the fotopic website.
