A day at the races...

This is a guest post by blog regular David Bell who once again has been in touch with a fine selection of photographs taken on one of his recent trips out...

"Went to Newmarket Races on Thursday which is always a good event for coaches particularly midibuses and minibuses. The light is also perfect for when vehicles depart usually from about 5pm onwards"

"I travelled here by bus as the Cambridge-Bury St Edmunds service stops right outside the July course as does the Ely-Newmarket-Cambridge service"

"Attached is a selection of photographs of local operators plus a photograph of the two vehicles used on tours of the National Stud which is situated within the racecourse. These Marshall-bodied Darts have replaced two Lynxes which in return replaced a Leyland National and an Optare City Pacer"
