Konectbus coming to King's Lynn - full details available here!

As promised back in July when Andy's Bus Blog announced Konectbus were coming to King's Lynn, today I am able to bring you full details of the new services which start on Monday 5th September 2011.

Konectbus Optare Excel 2

There are two combined services which will be serving King's Lynn;

The 1 King's Lynn > Swaffham > Watton
Runs hourly on Monday to Fridays and two hourly on Saturdays, it runs direct from King's Lynn to Swaffham via the A47 then from Swaffham runs to Watton via the scenic Norfolk countryside through Sporle, Necton, Holme Hale, Ashill and Saham Toney. Upon arrival at Watton there are connections available on Konectbus 11 to Dereham

The 1A King's Lynn > Swaffham > Dereham
Runs two hourly on Saturdays to give a combined hourly service with the 1 between King's Lynn & Swaffham, from Swaffham the service then runs direct to Dereham via the A47.

These services are an excellent new addition to the West Norfolk bus scene and provides new handy cross county links between the Konectbus and Norfolk Green networks, it also provides the first direct link between King's Lynn and Watton in years!

I will be sampling the new service on its first day so look out on the blog on the 5th or 6th September for a full report on the services first day of operation!

Many thanks to Julian Patterson at Konectbus for the timetable
