Changes to bus times due to road closure in Gaywood 24th-26th September 2011

From norfolkgreen.co.uk

All day on both Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September, and between 0900 and 1500 on Monday 26 September, the westbound side of Lynn Road in Gaywood (heading into town) will be closed to all traffic to allow the repair of collapsed sewer to take place. While buses heading out of town will not be affected, those heading into town will be diverted and delayed, and there will be changes to buses serving QE Hospital too.

FairsteadOne will be diverted heading into town after Gaywood health centre via Wootton Road, South Wootton Lane and Edward Benefer Way. On Saturday and during the closure on the Monday buses will run every 15 minutes and will also call additionally at QE Hospital.

NorthWoottonThree will be diverted heading into town after Fenland Road via Wootton Road, South Wootton Lane and Edward Benefer Way.

CrosstownFive will be diverted heading into town after Gaywood Park via Wootton Road, South Wootton Lane and Edward Benefer Way. The route will be run in two halves with no through buses between Gaywood Park and West Lynn.

X8 will be diverted heading into town via Grimston Road and Edward Benefer Way. Passengers for QE Hospital and Gaywood should change to outbound X8, 10/11, 48 or FairsteadOne buses at King's Lynn bus station.

10/11 will be diverted heading into town via Grimston Road and Edward Benefer Way. Passengers for QE Hospital and Gaywood should change to outbound X8, 10/11, 48 or FairsteadOne buses at King's Lynn bus station.

48 will be diverted heading into town from Bawsey via A149, Grimston Road and Edward Benefer Way. Passengers for QE Hospital and Gaywood should change to outbound X8, 10/11, 48 or FairsteadOne buses at King's Lynn bus station.

This is an extremely busy and important road and so buses throughout the town are likely to be delayed as traffic finds its way round the closure. Norfolk Green will be putting more detail onto the website in the time leading up to the closure, and will also be issuing email alerts, updates to our website and updates on KLFM and Radio Norfolk over the three days.
