King's Lynn today - first day of new Norfolk Green 7 & a Konectbus suprise

I had a trip into King's Lynn this afternoon to try out the new Norfolk Green 7 service which started today and to catch up with friends at the bus station.

The new 7 route provides a handy link between North Wootton, Reffley, Gaywood and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital & Fairstead without the need to change buses or go into town.

I started my trip on the 1110 departure from Fairstead, Fernlea Road which arrived bang on time with Optare Solo 618 MX54WMJ and driver Ian - I travelled the short distance to the QE Hospital where a 10 minute layover takes place before continuing on the 21 minute journey to North Wootton, Green.

I left the bus at North Wootton, Green where after a short wait I caught Optare Tempo 105 YK57FHM into town on the North Wootton Three.

Whilst spending time at the bus station this afternoon a few notable sightings took place, firstly a Konectbus suprise in the shape of Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 707 V307LGC which was working on the 1 King's Lynn to Watton via Swaffham - the service is usually worked by MK1 & 2 Optare Excels.

The second sighting was my first sighting of Norfolk Green's recently aquired Irisbus Agoraline 130 FE52HFR - as the photo below shows it has different headlamps to the rest of the batch, it is also different "under the bonnet" being fitted with a Renault rather than Iveco engine.

The final sighting was one of several coach operators passing through today - Chiltern Travel's Just Go branded Marcopolo FA07XAZ
