More Norfolk Green memories plus Fowlers, Freestones & Dogwood Coaches in King's Lynn

Following the popularity of our previous two posts looking back at the early days of Norfolk Green we bring you yet another selection of fantastic old photos, once again kindly supplied by David Bell.

This selection includes not only Norfolk Green but also three other operators - Fowlers, Freestones and Dogwood Coaches who also operated into King's Lynn in the late 1990's.


First we have PIL2098 a very smart looking Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Bedford which is seen above at Hunstanton coach park © David Bell


Next is G947TDV, a Carlyle bodied Mercedes Benz 709D at Hunstanton bus station on the Coastliner © David Bell


Norfolk Green had two Mercedes Benz 0405N integrals including R280SDT which was new as a demonstrator, it was withdrawn in the early 2000's after being involved in a fire © David Bell


Fowlers Travel operated the 505 between King's Lynn and Spalding for many years, their last vehicles to operate on the route were a trio of Northern Counties bodied Scania L113CRL's including N693AHL which were aquired from new especially for the route. Norfolk Green of course now operate this popular route © David Bell


Dogwood Coaches who no longer exist operated service 432 between Dereham & King's Lynn, R32GNW, the Plaxton Prestige bodied DAF is seen above in King's Lynn, this vehicle was new as a demonstator and can still be found in service with GHA's Bryn Welyn in Wales © David Bell


Freestones Coaches Leyland National GDZ729 is seen above at King's Lynn bus station whilst operating service 32 between Litcham and King's Lynn - a route they still operate today © David Bell
