Into the noughties - yet more Norfolk Green memories from the archives!

Today we move into the early noughties with another selection of Norfolk Green photos from David Bell's wonderful bus photo archives.

The photos featured today were taken in 2001 and show some of the very first Optare Solos in the Norfolk Green fleet, the company have been a fan of the Solo ever since and today have a total of 37 in the fleet - including all four of the original batch Y54/6/7/8HBT which were brought new in 2001.

Optare Solo Y54HBT is seen here at King's Lynn bus station whilst working the 48 towards Grimston, the vehicle carries branding for the crosslynnk 48 which ran between Terrington St Clement on the western side of King's Lynn and Grimston on the eastern side of the town, the 48 is still running today although now only serves the Grimston end of the route. The section to Terrington is now covered by the 505 Spalding service.
