A Thursday afternoon in Peterborough...

Our regular correspondant David Bell sent in this report following a visit to Peterborough on Thursday...

"I popped over to Peterborough on the X1 on Thursday and was surprised to find that the bus station was partly closed for maintenance work on the surface. Unfortunately I'd just missed the first phase which took place from 16th January to 8th February when bays 1a-10 were closed. Phase two runs from 9th February to approximately 19th February when bays 10a-20 are closed.

During this time buses which normally use these bays will depart from the Acland Street coach park behind the Brewery Tap Monday-Saturday until 6pm. After 6pm and on Sundays they will use alternative bays in the bus station. Full details are on Peterborough City Council's website - www.peterborough.gov.uk

All X1 services to Kings Lynn,Norwich and Lowestoft and X4 services to Northampton and Milton Keynes are departing from Acland Street as well as all National Express services."
