Looking back... Norfolk independants double deckers 1978-81 - part 2

In this two part Looking back... photo special we take a look at some of the interesting variety of colourful double decker buses operated by independant operators in and around Norfolk between 1978 and 1981.

Norfolk (like many parts of the county) was once home to many small independant bus/coach operators, unlike in our first part none of the operators included in this post remain, all of the photographs included in this two part special were kindly supplied by David Bell.

Swaffham Roadways - Daimler Fleetline SOE 934H pictured at King's Lynn bus station, this bus was new to West Midlands PTE.

Hubert Smith of Emneth - AEC Regent V 235 AJB, his operating centre was the back yard of his end terrace house in Emneth, this bus was one of a batch new to the Atomic Energy Research Establishment for staff transport.

not quite in Norfolk! Canhams of Whittlesey - Bristol Lodekka EOO 589, this bus was new to Eastern National in 1962 where it remained until 1977 before passing to Canhams.
