Looking back... Former ECOC buses around the UK - part 1

As the winter months continue we are continuing our popular Looking back... series, this time we are taking a look back at former Eastern Counties Omnibus Company buses which operated with other bus operators around the UK.

Once again the photos included were taken by our regular correspondants David Bell and Colin Apps - thankyou to them for allowing us to share their archive photographs with you.

ECW bodied Bristol FLF KPW 487E, new to Eastern Counties in 1967, seen here with Stagecoach at their Walnut Grove premises near Perth, this bus remains in the Stagecoach heritage fleet.

ECW bodied Bristol RE RPU 869M, new to National Travel South East in 1968 before passing to Eastern Counties in 1978, it is seen here with Stanley Gath of Thornhill near Dewsbury, this bus remains in preservation in the Hastings area.

Plaxton Paramount bodied Leyland Tiger MIB 614, new to Eastern Counties in 1983 as EAH 892Y, seen here in 2012 with Copeland of Meir near Stoke who have operated this coach for 22 years.
