Norwich Bus Station closure 17-24 February - full details announced

As we have previously mentioned a week-long closure of Norwich Bus Station will take place from 6am on Sunday February 17 until midnight on Sunday February 24, so that repairs can take place to the fix the permanent roofing.

The closure will also allow the County Council to undertake some deep cleaning work and complete some essential drainage repairs.

During that week no buses will run from or to the bus station.

Timetables for buses that usually run from the bus station will be as normal, but the County Council has arranged for pick up and drop off to take place at alternative stops on nearby streets.

During the closure staff will be available on street to help assist passengers and information posters put up on the site fencing.

The information centre, including the ticket desk, café and toilets will be closed and during the closure of the site there will be no access for pedestrians or vehicles to the concourse from the Surrey Street entrance or from Queens Road. Pedestrian access will however be maintained along the footway beside the YMCA.

Full details of alternative stop locations is available by visiting www.norfolk.gov.uk/norwichbusstation and the County Council will also put posters up at the bus station and at other bus stops in Norwich city centre.

The works are weather dependant and the timetable for completion of works may change.
