Looking back... Memories of Peterborough's old Bishop's Road bus station

Bishop's Road used to be the bus station for Peterborough before the current one at Queensgate opened in 1982.

In this Looking back photo special we bring you a selection of photographs taken at the bus station in 1979 and 1981 showing a selection of buses from various operators. By 1981 as you can tell from some of the photos the bus station was looking very dilapidated and down at heel.

All of the photographs included in this post were kindly supplied by and are © David Bell.
