Llandudno Transport Festival 2013 - photo special!

Last weekend saw the popular Llandudno Transport Festival take place, the annual event which is held on Bodafon Fields attracts thousands of visitors and plays host to a large number of vehicles including buses, commercials, cars and bikes.

David Bell went to the event with Peelings Coaches - as he did last year, and has kindly sent us a lovely selection of photographs showing some of the classic buses that were present at the event - enjoy!

The oldest vehicle in our selection today is GZ 2248, a Duple bodied Bedford OWB - its chassis dates from 1944 when it was new to Northern Ireland Road Transport Board, but its body is believed to be a later rebuild. The vehicle is preserved in the livery of Warstone.

Something slightly more modern now, one of a growing number of Leyland Olympians in preservation is GFR 101W, an ECW bodied example new to Ribble in 1981 - this was the first production Olympian chassis numbered ON1.
