New X1 ADL Enviro400s due to begin arriving soon - photo update!

This is a fully updated version of our previous post, with the addition of updated information and photographs kindly supplied by Mike Wallington (Wallys Wanderings)

Gerard Fletcher over on the X1 Blog reports that the first examples from the batch of 22 new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s for First's X1 route between Peterborough and Lowestoft are due to begin arriving from the ADL factory in Scarborough this week...

The new vehicles, which will be fleet numbered 33803-24 and carry First's new blue/gold 'interurban' livery with X1 Excel branding are expected to begin arriving in King's Lynn from today - Monday 23rd September.

The existing fleet of Geminis will be gradually cascaded to other depots and are expected to be allocated as follows; Volvo B7TLs 37156-60 to First Potteries, whilst staying more locally are Volvo B9TLs 37563-69 which will move to First in Lowestoft and 37570-79 which will move to First in Great Yarmouth.
