Looking back... Northampton Variety - part 2

Today we continue our Looking back... series with the second part of our Northampton report, as previously mentioned it features a selection of the interesting variety of vehicles operated over the years by the now defunct Northampton Transport, the four photographs from David Bell's excellent archives included in this part were all taken when the company was under Firstgroup ownership.

F88 DVV - Alexander RV bodied Volvo Citybus new in 1988, interestingly the last examples of this type remained in service with First in Northampton until as late as earlier this year when the closed their operation in the town © David Bell.

HVG 803V - Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Leopard, this bus was new to Eastern Counties as their LL803 in 1979, it also operated with Cambus © David Bell
