REWIND ~ King's Lynn in 2004 (part 1)

In this and the next couple of editions of our Notes from North West Norfolk series we are taking a look back almost 10 years ago to 2004 with a variety of photographs from David Bell's wonderful archives - all of which were taken at the town's bus station.

Cavalier memories: Long Sutton based Cavalier Travel (sold to Stagecoach in 2008) were a regular visitor to King's Lynn on their part-working of the 505 from Spalding, a variety of Dennis Dart SLFs were used on the route including R566 UOT - a rare UVG Urbanstar bodied bodied example © David Bell.

Golden Jubilee Spectra

Norfolk Green's nine Optare Spectra bodied DAF DB250LFs are often a favourite of enthusiasts in the area being a fairly unusual type, all were acquired from Reading Buses to whom they were new between 2001 and 2003, whilst we have featured photographs of these fine vehicles in their previous home before, whilst sorting through his archives David Bell recently came across an excellent shot he took of one wearing a rather special livery back in 2002.
