Looking back... Canhams of Whittlesey - part 2

Today we bring you the delayed second part of our latest Looking back... guest post by regular correspondent Philip Slynn, across the two parts of this feature we are taking a look at Canhams of Whittlesey, a once well known Cambridgeshire independent that operated for 63 years between 1920 and 1983 - enjoy!

The first picture in this part, taken at Canhams depot in Whittlesey in 1980 is of their 2 FLFs - EOO589 and 828SHW. The first new to Eastern National as 1621 in 1962,and the other new to Bristol as C7135 in 1964 © Philip Slynn.

Next is Bristol FLF EOO589 but in the revised livery of orange and cream © Philip Slynn.

Another Bristol is VNO866 new to Eastern National as 4203 in 1953, purchased by Canhams in 1972. This bus appeared in the film version of 'On the Buses'. Picture dates from 1974 © Philip Slynn.

Next we have APM 152B, a Ford Thames with Duple Marauder body dating from 1964. Pictured at Peterborough bus station in 1972 © Philip Slynn.
