Looking back... Easey of March

Our regular correspondent Philip Slynn continues his series of Looking back... guest posts with this, the second of three features focusing on three different small Cambridgeshire independents of the past, in this part we look at five interesting coaches operated by Easey of March - an operator who is no longer around...

Next, CUJ 309C is another Bedford is a 1965 Bedford VAL14. Either the proprietor or one of his drivers used to work at the Perkins Engines plant in Peterborough and bring a load of workers in from that area and leave the coach in number 5 car park which is where I photographed it in 1976 © Philip Slynn.

For a while Easy had a NE contract and this Leyland Tiger, NGL 624X is seen at Queensgate bus station in 1987. I have other pictures of Easy coaches on service 378 to Perth, so it is possible that is where this is going as the NE sticker has slipped a bit © Philip Slynn.
