Three Bridges Rail Replacement - photo special!

David Bell visited Three Bridges near Crawley in West Sussex on Saturday to observe the sizeable railway replacement operation taking place there due to the closure of the London to Brighton line between Three Bridges and Brighton this weekend, given the considerable number of trains and of course passengers travelling on this line per hour a fleet formed of mainly double deckers is required to work the replacement bus services when this busy line is closed.

Operators providing vehicles on Saturday included Brighton & Hove, Metrobus, London United, Stagecoach South, Go-Coach of Dartford, Southern Transit, Southdown PSV, Rambler of Hastings, Renown of Bexhill and Edwards coaches of Hailsham who provided a few coaches.
