Summer Special #1 Skegness to Gibraltar Point Beach Ferry

With the lovely weather many of us are enjoying the weekend, we thought we'd get into the Summer spirit with this special, but rather unusual look across The Wash at Skegness's Beach Ferry bus service...

David Bell explains more: "I thought I'd send you some photographs of some of the vehicles which used to operate on the Skegness to Gibraltar Point beach service. As you can see there was a left hand drive AEC Militant, a Bedford TK and a part open-top coach which was converted to four wheel drive. The last time I saw something operating on the beach service it was a strange ex-military vehicle attached to a draw-bar trailer which carried the passengers".

The main vehicle of interest to us...
