Continuing his series of well received of Looking back... guest features, Philip Slynn is today focusing on the operator Keystone of Thrapston, Northamptonshire.
Philip comments: "Keystone Coaches was the trading name of Allan of Thrapston in Northants. They ran a mixed bag of vehicles a few of which are illustrated below"
First we have GIL 4276, a Volvo B10M new to Cityrama, London in 1984 as A60 SEV. It was photographed in Peterborough in 1996 having been re-registered © Philip Slynn.
This Leyland Tiger YPD 128Y was new to London Country in 1983 as TD28. Delaine of Bourne purchased it in 1991 and sold it to Keystone in 1995 © Philip Slynn.
This 1972 Bristol LHL FVA 624K was new to Park of Hamilton. By the time it was pictured here in 1985 in Peterborough it had undergone some sort of conversion to enable disabled access © Philip Slynn.
This 1984 Quest A815 LEL was one of a batch that Excelsior of Bournemouth operated. It is pictured in Peterborough in 1987 © Philip Slynn.
Finally we have a 1988 DAF with a Caetano body E176 KNH again pictured in Peterborough this time in 1994 © Philip Slynn.
