Royal Norfolk Show 2014 part 1 ~ Coaches

It is that time of year again - last week saw the ever popular Royal Norfolk Show take place at the Norfolk Showground just outside Norwich, as with last year our regular correspondent David Bell attended the event to observe the numerous visiting local coaches as well as special bus services that operate for the event. In this two part feature using a selection of photographs kindly supplied by David we'll take a look at both aspects as described above - part 1 will focus on the coaches and part 2 which will be published later this week will focus on the special bus services.

First up we see Peelings Coaches who were at the event with their Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B12B which now carries appropriate cherished registration B12 FAH, this coach was previously with Elcocks Reisen © David Bell.

Next up we see one of the smaller vehicles from the Norse fleet, Plaxton Cheetah bodied Mercedes Benz Vario SP55 EEF, this minicoach was previously with Moffat & Williamson © David Bell.

Here we see Smiths Coaches Jonckheere Mistral bodied Volvo B12M FP51 EUN, this coach was new to Lochs & Glens © David Bell.

The first of two coaches featured from Richards Coaches of Guist is this smart 'VIP Class' Volvo 9700 GDZ 435 © David Bell.

Another Richards Coaches vehicle at the show was Plaxton Profile bodied Volvo B7R GRZ 5752, it was previously with Marshalls of Sutton-On-Trent © David Bell.

We finish with the oldest vehicle of this bunch - Semmence Plaxton Paramount bodied Volvo B10M G169 ODH, this was new to Shirley of Walsall in 1989 © David Bell.
