NNR Vintage Transport Weekend 2014 - part 1

The North Norfolk Railway vintage transport weekend took place on the 5th/6th July and one of our regular correspondents Colin Apps was there on the Sunday to photograph some of the interesting variety of buses (and trains!) that were either working or on display at the event, he has kindly send us the following selection of photos to share with you. This feature will be spread across two parts - enjoy!

We start this feature (as we did in our EATM feature) with a photo of Julian Patterson's immaculate Eastern Counties Bristol RE EPW 516K, it is pictured here at Sheringham station © Colin Apps.

The next bus featured is the East Anglia Transport Museum's superb Eastern Counties Bristol Lodekka 557 BNG, this is also pictured at Sheringham station © Colin Apps.

The final vintage bus in this part shows one of the highlights of the day, this very smart Midland Red Leyland Leopard PHA 319M, it is pictured at Holt station © Colin Apps.

Moving on to the first of two trains in this part, we see D5631, it is a Brush type two locomotive, later class 31, built at Loughborough in 1960 © Colin Apps.

The second train featured in this part is 44767 'George Stephenson' which is a LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 locomotive that returned to steam in 2010 © Colin Apps.

We finish this part with a modern bus seen in service in Sheringham on the day, that was Coasthopper/Norfolk Green Optare Solo M950SL YJ10 EYB working on the ch3 towards Wells © Colin Apps.
