Out & about in Northumbria - part 1

This week we're heading to Northumbria to take a look at something a little bit different for our latest Out & about feature, this guest post which will be spread across three parts has been kindly provided by our regular correspondent Philip Slynn.

Philip comments: "Having recently spent a week in Northumbria I thought I would post a few examples of what is about in that area. I did not visit any major population centres mainly small towns and villages."

On my last visit to Alnwick, Arriva were one of the major operators in the town. However, they appear to have withdrawn some of the services and closed the local garage. The majority of Arriva vehicles now appear on express services X15 and X18.
