Potters Bar Bus Garage open day 2014 - part 2

For our second post today we continue our look at David Bell's visit to Potters Bar Bus Garage open day last Saturday with a further selection of photographs of some of the special vehicles running at the event...

We start this part with RT1784 KYY 622, this Park Royal bodied AEC Regent III was new to London Transport in 1950 and is now preserved by private owners © David Bell.

Next up we have the unique FRM1 KGY 4D - the rear engined, front entrance Routemaster prototype, this bus was new in 1966 and is now part of the London Transport Museum's collection © David Bell.

Here we see Transport for London's 'Year of the Bus' mobile exhibition vehicle, Optare Excel L1150 R197 DDX - this was acquired from Ipswich Buses to whom it was new in 1998 © David Bell.

The penultimate photo in this feature shows Golden Jubilee liveried Weymann bodied AEC Regent III RT2494 NXP 997, this bus dates from 1954 and is now part of the London Transport Museum's collection © David Bell.
