Routemaster 60 at Finsbury Park photo special - part 3

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic London Routemaster and to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee a special event attended by over 130 examples of the type was held at Finsbury Park on the weekend of 12th/13th July, our regular correspondent David Bell was at the event on the Sunday and has kindly sent us a wide selection of photos showing some of the more interesting Routemaster examples present - this bumper special feature has been spread across three parts, hope you enjoyed it!

RML2310 CUV 310C - New as a green London Country bus to Dorking garage in 1965, it became a red London Transport vehicle in 1978 and worked until 2004 when it was withdrawn and sold to Timebus Travel © David Bell.

RML2334 CUV 334C - Also new as a green London Country bus, this time to Godstone garage in 1965, it became a red London Transport bus in 1980 and was withdrawn from Arriva's route 38 in 2005, after that in entered preservation with a private owner © David Bell.

RML2528 JJD 528D - New in 1966 and like many others in the part withdrawn from Arriva's route 38 in 2005, it has recently joined the fleet operating on the London Ghost Bus Tour for which it wears this smart black livery © David Bell.

RM44 VLT44 - New in 1959 and withdrawn from London service in 1984, it then had a succession of owners the most notable being Southend Transport 1991-3 and Reading Mainline 1994-8. It entered preservation in 2000 with the Castle Point Bus Museum and was restored as a Southend Transport vehicle by 2007 © David Bell.

RML2514 JJD 514D - New in 1966 and restored in the Kentish Bus livery it received in circa 1993, it was rebranded as an Arrival vehicle five years later and was eventually withdrawn in 2005 © David Bell.

RML2304 CUV 304C - New in 1965 and after a long a varied career was withdrawn from Arriva's route 38 in 2005, it then passed to Ensignbus who in turn sold it in 2006 to Millwall Football Club where it remains in this promotional dark blue livery © David Bell.
