Out & about in Norwich

Our regular correspondent David Bell visited Norwich last week and has sent us a selection of his photographs and sightings for our latest Out & about post, operators included are Borderbus, Norfolk Green, Anglianbus, First Norwich and Konectbus.

Borderbus KX54 NKH
Our first photo shows the most recent edition to the Borderbus of Beccles fleet, original style Alexander Dennis Enviro300 KX54 NKH, it is seen here working on the 146 service to Southwold via Beccles, along with the rest of the Borderbus fleet it carries a vinyl on the front in support of 'Movember' (c) David Bell.

SC Norfolk Green 25122 YJ56 ATV
Here we see the first of two Norfolk Green vehicles in this post - Optare Tempo 25122 YJ56 ATV, it is pictured passing along Castle Meadow having worked on the X29 from Fakenham (c) David Bell.

Anglianbus AN61 LAN
Next up is Anglianbus AN61 LAN, one of the operator's Scania Omnicity single deckers frequently found operating on the 7 and its connecting services from the East Norfolk and Suffolk Coast (c) David Bell.

First Norwich LR02 LYD
One of the most notable happenings in Norwich in recent weeks is the beginning of the roll out of First's latest corporate livery, as well as standard liveried vehicles others are also to feature coloured fronts to match the routes on which they operate, the first of the repaints were a pair of Plaxton Presidents for 'Purple Line' services including 33166 LR02 LYD seen here operating on the 36 to Horsford (c) David Bell.

SC Norfolk Green 17785 LX03 BVY
Back to Norfolk Green's X29 now for a shot of one of the recently acquired Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents 17785 LX03 BVY, it is seen in the now car free zone along St Stephens Street (c) David Bell.

Konectbus AU11 EPE
The latest Konectbus service in the city is the 53 to Wroxham taken over from sister company Anglianbus in September, seen her is Optare Versa AU11 EPE, one of five of this type reallocated to Konectbus along with the route (c) David Bell.

First Norwich LR02 LXN
We finish this post with another of First's repaints, this time in standard livery with black and white fleet names and missing Magenta stripe is Plaxton President 33154 LR02 LXN seen operating on the 13 towards Spixworth (c) David Bell.

Many thanks to David for the photos included in this post, whilst on the subject of Norwich it is expected that First's six new Wrightbus Streetlite micro hybrids are expected to enter service from this coming Monday 1st December, so look out for those!
