Peterborough variety - photo special

Following on from Philip Slynn's guest post yesterday looking at the new arrivals at Stagecoach in Peterborough we have another post for you today - taking a look at a variety of the more unusual vehicles Philip has photographed in the city recently...

SC 16460
Firstly, Stagecoach Midlands still use a few Olympians on the Oundle/Thrapston routes and here we have 16460 P160 KAK looking its age leaving Queensgate on service 23 (c) Philip Slynn.

Next is KX64 AAJ one of the new Volvo B8s with Plaxton Leopard bodies that are operated on behalf of the City Council by Enterprise/Amey. These replaced the yellow school buses (c) Philip Slynn.

SC 16808
Rail replacement has been taking place on the Spalding to Sleaford line and on standby is Lincolnshire 16808 R688 MFE (c) Philip Slynn.

SC 52490
Seen leaving the railway station is 52490 685 DYE, having been re-registered (c) Philip Slynn.

Deckerbus VIL8682
Deckerbus operated the shuttle bus to the Model railway exhibition at the showground recently and here we have VIL 8682, which started life as N298 CKB with Merseyside. It is a 1996 Volvo Olympian (c) Philip Slynn.

Deckerbus GU52WTD
Another Deckerbus, this one has been repainted since the last time I photographed it, GU52 WTD a Volvo B12M new to Stagecoach East Kent in 2002. It is pictured at the showcase cinema. This must be one of the newest vehicles in the Deckerbus fleet (c) Philip Slynn.

Many thanks to Philip for the photographs and captions used in this post.
