Today our regular guest blogger Philip Slynn shares some photos he took last week of Stagecoach in Peterborough's twenty brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro200s which entered service from 2nd November on the Citi 2 and 3 services...
Philip comments: "There are 20 new ADL E200s for the 2/3 services, replacing the 04 plates that were purchased 10 years ago for the same service. I am sure that eventually they will stray onto other routes. It is stated that the majority of the 04 plates will be cascaded to Bedford and Fenstanton, I attach a few pictures. With the sun being so bright and low, they are not brilliant, but we will probably have to wait until next year to get decent shots now that winter seems to be on us."
Seen approaching Bretton is the first of the batch which is 37216 SN64 OKR (c) Philip Slynn.
37217 SN64 OKS, is seen leaving Queensgate for Park Farm on service 3 (c) Philip Slynn.
Seen leaving Bretton is 37220 SN64 OKV on its way to Paston (c) Philip Slynn.
The last of the batch is 37235 SN64 OLR which is seen here leaving Queensgate for The City Hospital (c) Philip Slynn.
Many thanks to Philip for the contents of this post. On the subject of new Stagecoach buses - Steven Knight Media reports that the six additional Scania N230UD/ADL Enviro 400s for The Busway in Cambridgeshire are now receiving pre-delivery inspections with Scania and are likely to be delivered to Fenstanton depot next month, so look out for those!
