Out & about in Thetford - part 1

Our regular correspondent David Bell visited the South Norfolk town of Thetford last week providing us with a great opportunity to catch up with an area that hasn't featured on the blog for a good while, changes are currently being made to transport facilities in the town as a controversial new bus interchange to replace the current dilapidated bus station is being constructed in Minstergate, it is due to open in March. Included in this two part feature are mostly photographs of the main operator in the area - Coach Services who have built up a smart and modern bus fleet over the past few years...

Coach Services CS12 BUS
The first photo in this part shows Coach Services Wrightbus Eclipse Urban 2 bodied Volvo B7RLE CS!2 BUS operating on the 84 to Bury St Edmunds, this is one of two of this type in the fleet (c) David Bell.

Coach Services MX05 OUE
Next up is Coach Services Optare Solo MX05 OUE seen operating on Thetford town service T1A, this service will be discontinued in favour of new and improved half hourly T1 and T2 services operating in continuous loops around the town once the new bus interchange has opened in March (c) David Bell.

We finish this part with a photograph showing the new Bus Interchange currently being construction in Minstergate, it is expected to open next month (c) David Bell.
