Out & about in Thetford - part 2

Our regular correspondent David Bell visited the South Norfolk town of Thetford last week providing us with a great opportunity to catch up with an area that hasn't featured on the blog for a good while, changes are currently being made to transport facilities in the town as a controversial new bus interchange to replace the current dilapidated bus station is being constructed in Minstergate, it is due to open in March. Included in this two part feature are mostly photographs of the main operator in the area - Coach Services who have built up a smart and modern bus fleet over the past few years...

Coach Services CS63 BUS
The first Coach Services bus seen in this part is Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL CS63 BUS, the only one of this type in the fleet it was purchased in late 2013 to increase capacity on the popular 84/86 services into Bury St Edmunds (c) David Bell.

Coach Services YN03 UMM
Next up is is one of the oldest single deckers in the Coach Services fleet, Scania Omnicity YN03 UMM which is seen awaiting departure on the 332 'back roads' service between Thetford and Bury St Edmunds, this bus was new to Menzies Aviation (c) David Bell.

Coach Services YX14 RXJ
On to the newest single decker in the Coach Services fleet, Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 YX14 RXJ it is one of three of this type (with varying wheelbases) that joined the fleet in 2014, this short example is seen working on the local Thetford T2 service (c) David Bell.
