Buses on diversion - Portland Street pick ups

This Monday (9th March) saw the ongoing King's Lynn Transport Interchange project enter its main phase of works meaning that for the next fourteen weeks southbound bus routes from King's Lynn are picking up and dropping off in nearby Portland Street rather than the Bus Station itself, the council have done a good job of providing temporary waiting facilities on Portland Street with new bus stop flags and timetables being installed as well as now redundant bus shelters and litter bins being moved across from the Bus Station. Our regular correspondent David Bell was in the area on the first day of the revised arrangements and has kindly supplied a selection of photographs of buses serving the new stops...

For information buses currently arriving at and departing from Portland Street are Norfolk Green Hardwick Six, 37, 38, 39, 46, 55 & 505, Konectbus 1 and First X1.

Meanwhile all other bus services including Norfolk Green Coasthopper, Fairstead One, North Lynn Too!, North Wootton Three, Pandora Four, Gaywood Five, 10, 11, 48 & X8 and Lynx 35 continue to serve the main Bus Station using existing bays 6-8.
