Looking back... A Sunny Summer Sunday in Skegness - part 3

Today we bring you the delayed conclusion of our latest Looking back... feature in which we have travelled across The Wash to take a look at a typical Sunny Summer Sunday in Skegness in circa 1990, a time when all sorts of buses and coaches used to turn up at the Lincolnshire coastal resort. Included in this three parter have been photos of both local buses in action as well as visiting coaches from around the UK, all of the photographs are from David Bell's fantastic archives.

Skegness, Summer 1990
We start the final part with a Road Car local service bus, Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean ETO 911V dates from 1979 when it was new to Gash of Newark (c) David Bell.

Skegness, Summer 1990
Next up we see Road Car Plaxton Panorama bodied Leyland Leopard YRC 223M, this coach dates from 1974, the location in which this photgraph was taken is now home to a Lidl supermarket (c) David Bell.

Skegness, Summer 1990
Looking very smart on an excursion the the seaside town is EYMS Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian H156 BKH which was brand new when seen here (c) David Bell.

Skegness, Summer 1990
Finishing this part is a visiting coach, this interesting Plaxton Supreme bodied Bristol LH was photographed when operating with Huddersfield based Ivy, it was new to the well known London operator Grey Green in 1977 (c) David Bell.

Many thanks to David for supplying the phots used in all three parts of this post.
