Last Tuesday (1st April) saw the first day of operation for the latest addition to the Norfolk Green route network as service 49 between Wisbech/Sutton St Edmund and Spalding, a contracted service previously operated by Fowlers Travel began. The route runs twice a day in each direction between Sutton St Edmund and Spalding excluding Thursdays when it instead operates one journey that is extended to serve Wisbech.
The rural service was worked on the first day by Alexander Dennis Pointer Dart 34701 PX05 ENC which is pictured here at Sutton St Edmund before operating to Spalding, photo courtesy (c) Colin Apps.
In other Norfolk Green news, the fleet has seen relatively few changes since our last update, vehicles marked as currently away for refurbishment (including some already mentioned on the blog) are Tempos 25121 and 25125 at Hants and Dorset Trim plus Coasthopper Solos 47901/5/8/11 at Full Circle.
Meanwhile a number of bus service changes have been registered to begin next month in time for the Summer season, services due to be revised are the Coasthopper, X8, 29, 46, 66 and 505 from 2nd May, whilst later in the month changes will take place to the 10 and 11 from 23rd May, that date will also see the introduction of a new daily service 12 between King's Lynn and Dersingham via Sandringham - further details on this and of course all of the other changes will be available nearer the time.
