Out & about in Bury St Edmunds - part 2

Bury St Edmunds has often featured on the blog in the past and is always an interesting location to visit, so when our regular correspondent made the journey to the Suffolk town before Easter he kindly sent us an excellent selection of photographs to bring us up to date with the latest goings on in the area which is served by a varied selection of operators, included in this two part post are vehicles from Coach Services, Galloway, Mulleys Motorways, Simonds, Stagecoach and Stephensons...

We'll begin this part with Stagecoach, seen here operating on the hourly 11 from Cambridge via Newmarket is Alexander Dennis ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident 18342 AE55 DKF (c) David Bell.

Next up is Go Ahead company Chambers, seen here operating on the 753 to Sudbury for Colchester is Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL 566 W428 WGH (c) David Bell.

Stephensons EG02 NZD
Stephensons continue to operate their Breeze network of town services, seen here on the 2 to Horringer Court is unbranded Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLF EG02 NZD, this bus was new to Irish operator Bus Eireann where it was registered 02 C 20217 (c) David Bell.

Mulleys BIG 6885
Mulleys ex Citybus, Hong Kong Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian BIG 6885 is pictured here working on school service 955 to West Row, this bus dates from 1990 and carried registration EL 7976 whilst in Hong Kong, when imported back to the UK it was given registration number G374 FWC and was operated by On a Mission of Soulbury before passing to Mulleys (c) David Bell.

Coach Services X547 EGK
The Coach Services fleet is home to a number of ex Go Ahead London Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs, seen here still wearing its previous London colours is X547 EGK working on the 84 from Thetford (c) David Bell.

First Stop Travel P10 SNO
We finish this post with a coach, pictured at the bus station is First Stop Travel Irizar Century bodied Scania P10 SNO, this operator based just outside the town is primarily a mini-bus, taxi and limousine operator (c) David Bell.
