New Enviro400s enter service on the konectexpress 8 - photo special!

Five brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s entered service on Konectbus' flagship konectexpress 8 route between Toftwood, Dereham and Norwich on Tuesday, the smart new buses carry a revised livery featuring new 'straight8' logo (bringing back memories of the 'str8' name applied to Optare Tempos used during the early days of the route), on the inside the buses feature free Wi-Fi, USB charging sockets, wood effect flooring and the increasingly popular combination of moquette seats with leather headrests.

Our very regular contributor David Bell visited Dereham yesterday to photograph the new buses in action, included below are the details and photos of all five new buses - enjoy!

The five older (61 reg) Alexander Dennis Enviro400s that the new buses have replaced will be rebranded and used to upgrade konectexpress routes 2/2A between Norwich, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt.

Meanwhile a further eighteen new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s are due to arrive at Konectbus in the coming weeks for the new Norwich Park & Ride network which begins on 7th September 2015 - to find out more about the Park & Ride including details of the new routes, times, fares and branding visit www.norwichparkandride.co.uk

Many thanks to David for the photographs included in this post.
