In his latest guest post our regular correspondent Philip Slynn reports on a visit he made to Lincolnshire operator Sleafordian last month...
"I visited Sleafordian in August, and they were very helpful in allowing me to wander around and take pictures. As it was during the school holidays most of the school fleet were around, and these are made up of Volvo and Leyland Olympians from various sources, and the latest acquisitions being ex London Dennis Tridents".
We start off with K12JPB which started life as Lothian 884 with the registration K884CSF. It is an Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian (c) Philip Slynn.
Sleafordian have 3 ex Delaine Volvo Olympians, and here we have R4OCT new to Delaine in 1997. The others are S5OCT and T6OCT. At the time of my visit S5OCT was VOR owing to accident damage (c) Philip Slynn.
V132MEV is an example of one of the Dennis Tridents in the fleet, being new to Selkent in 1999 as TA132 (c) Philip Slynn.
Here we have a line up of some of the Volvo and Leyland Olympians in the fleet, so if anyone is after any particular examples, they include 2 ex Dublin Volvo Olympians, 2 ex East Kent Leyland Olympians and an ex United Counties Leyland Olympian (c) Philip Slynn.
Sleafordian also operate the local services around Sleaford and here we have an Optare Solo YJ05JWP carrying the into town branding (c) Philip Slynn.
Another single decker bus in the fleet is this Wright Bodied Volvo B10B new to Merseyside in 1995 with fleet no 6566 (c) Philip Slynn.
Many thanks to Philip Slynn for the photos and captions included in this post, look out for more from Philip - coming soon.
